Different types of insects around today.

Butterflies - Comma, Small Tortoiseshell, Orange Tip and Peacock.

1st of the year - Large Red Damselfly & Orange Ladybird

6 species of hoverfly pending ID help, which I will post later if interesting or unusual.


Birds today included - 3 Blackcap, 8 Willow Warbler, 2 Chiffchaff, 3 Barn Swallow and 6 House Martin.

 Large Red Damselfly - form melanotum - with yellow thoracic stripes instead of red, never seen this form before.
